The department has a well maintained museum with a collection of about 2000 diverse animals that belong to various phyla. A good number of fin fishes, shell fishes and sea weeds beautify the museum.

The Department of Zoology nurtures a variety of endangered species of herbal plants, a botanical garden, a butterfly garden and fish breeding centre. Zoological Specimen Museum displays a large number of invertebrate, sea weeds, mollusc, reptiles, amphibians etc. There is a microbiology and equipment lab for doing microbiological analysis, associated with the Department of Zoology. An Electronic Workshop room adjacent to the Department of EEM, with sufficient number of power supply points and necessary apparatus and equipment, help the students of EEM to carry out the repairing and overhauling of equipment ,provides facilities for hardware maintenance of computers, mobile phones and emergency lamps .
